I wake up every morning with a song stuck in my head. And now it's stuck in yours.

Mack the Knife by Louis Armstrong
The Louis Armstrong version of this song is certainly the definitive in my mind, though I will admit that it usually morphs into the McDonald's commercial eventually.
Year (original): 1928 (Weill/Brecht)
Year (Armstrong): 1956
Rating: Luke Hot
I unfortunately always think of the McDonald's take, and that leads me to thinking about working at Pizza Hut with a girl named Paula who had a very prominent chin. My coworker Alonyda and I would snap or hum the Mac Tonight theme softly to each other re: Paula because for some reason we didn't like her very much and thought she looked like a crescent moon when she turned sideways.
This is, again, exactly the kind of interaction I crave from my readers. I love hearing other people's associations to the same songs or ideas. That's what I'm livin' for!

To Paula's favor, she was actually rather pretty by conventional standards despite her Mac Tonightness. So I wouldn't feel too sorry for her.
